Dr. Meri Gilman-Mays, CRNA, DNP is currently the Chief CRNA at Vidant Medical Group Chowan and Bertie hospitals. She graduated from the Albany Medical College Nurse Anesthesia program in 1991 and received her Doctorate in Nursing Practice degree from Duke University in 2013.
Dr. Gilman-Mays was the Chief CRNA at Duke University Hospital for nine years, and then took the position of Senior Director for the Anesthesia Institute at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio. She remained in that position for two years and recently relocated to Edenton NC to focus on clinical practice and teaching.
Leadership and all that it involves is a passion for Dr. Gilman-Mays. She is a national and international speaker of a variety of leadership topics. Dr. Gilman-Mays is also adjunct faculty at Duke University School of Nursing, teaching leadership in their DNP program.
