Merel Kimman obtained an MSc in Health Sciences (Health Policy, Economics and Management) and a PhD in Health Technology Assessment at Maastricht University. Her PhD focused on patient satisfaction, preferences, and the cost-effectiveness of breast cancer follow-up. Before joining KEMTA, she worked as a research fellow and conjoint lecturer at The George Institute for Global Health and The University of Sydney, Australia. During her time in Australia, most of her work focused on the economic and quality of life impact of cancer in low- and middle income countries.
