Merel Huisman MD, PhD

Dr. M. Huisman, EuSoMII Board Member since 2019, is a cardiothoracic radiologist, currently pursuing a fellowship in musculoskeletal radiology in combination with AI-related research. She is a clinical epidemiologist by training. In the AI in healthcare space, she is recognized for having meta-level knowledge including topics like standardization, people and processes, and education. As such she frequently presents at conferences, always focusing on translating topics perceived as difficult and trends to a wider audience to increase engagement.
