Meredith Holcomb, AuD, CCC-A, is the clinical director of the MUSC cochlear implant program. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with an AuD degree in 2006. She received her Bachelor of Arts in psychology and communication studies in 2001, also from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Holcomb completed a graduate externship year at MUSC from 2005 to 2006 before joining as a faculty member. She determines candidacy for pediatric and adult cochlear implant patients, as well as programs and troubleshoots implants following surgery. She also manages pediatric hearing aid caseloads and performs electrophysiological testing. She is active in clinical research with pediatric audiology and cochlear implants.

Dr. Holcomb currently serves on the American Cochlear Implant Alliance board of directors, the South Carolina Academy of Audiology board of directors, the ASHA audiology board and the audiology advisory board for Advanced Bionics Corporation. She served on the audiology advisory board for Med El Corporation and Cochlear Corporation in the past. She is the past president of the SC AG Bell chapter.
