Dr. Gong Mengchun, Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer of Digital Health China Technologies, graduated from the eight-year clinical medicine program at Peking Union Medical College (Tsinghua University Medical School) and completed his residency training in internal medicine at PUMC Hospital. He later entered the field of medical informatics. For six years, he served as a director on the global management committee of SNOMED International, becoming the first Asian expert to hold a board-level management position in an international organization in the field of medical data standards. He is dedicated to promoting the standardization of medical data globally and conducting research in medical informatics.
Currently, he serves as a distinguished researcher at Southern Medical University and Guangdong Medical University. In terms of scientific research, he has undertaken multiple national and provincial-level projects. He leads the special projects on "Proactive Health and Aging Response" and "Reproductive and Women's and Children's Health" under the National Key Research and Development Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology, making significant contributions to the construction and research development of China's overall data system for rare diseases. Starting from 2024, he will serve as a member of the Biological Phenotype Standards Committee of the National Standards Committee, a technical committee member of the Engineering Research Center for Health Aging Intelligent Medicine of the Ministry of Education, and a standing committee member of the Bioinformatics Branch of the Chinese Preventive Medicine Association, providing professional technical support in biomedical informatics for the development of various fields.
