Melva Thompson-Robinson, DrPH, is a Professor in Social and Behavioral Health and the Executive Director of the Center for Health Disparities Research in the School of Public Health. She is currently the Project Director for the Southern Nevada Teen Pregnancy Prevention Project, which implements an evidence-based intervention with African American youth ages 14-19 in African American faith-based organizations. Among many things, Dr. Thompson-Robinson is a member of the US Department Health and Human Services Region IX Regional Health Equity Council.
