Melody Huang, Pharm.D. is a clinical specialist in pharmacy informatics at UF Health Jacksonville and a Clinical Assistant Professor for the UF College of Pharmacy. She serves as the team lead for the pharmacy informatics team in Jacksonville.
Dr. Huang received her Pharm.D. from Rutgers University, Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy. She completed a PGY-2 specialty residency in Neuropsychiatry. She is an active member of the Florida Society of Health-System Pharmacists, previously servicing in regional and state-wide positions and councils. She is also a mentor to pharmacy students from the University of Florida.
Her current practice includes multi-campus projects for advancing clinical practice, regulatory compliance, enterprise initiatives, and research development. Dr. Huang sits on interdisciplinary committees for medication safety, medication charging, and pharmacogenomics. She works closely with leadership within pharmacy, physicians, nursing, and administration.
Dr. Huang has a passion for balancing user satisfaction and patient safety in the electronic medical record. Her areas of interest include medication safety, data analytics, and pharmacy workflow optimization.
