Melinda Brady is a Nurse Practitioner: urology and continence in Townsville, specialising in urinary and bowel incontinence, voiding dysfunction, neurogenic bladder dysfunction, constipation, and bowel management for men, women, and children. Melinda graduated from QUT with her Bachelor of Registered Nursing in 2004 and commenced her nursing career in the Spinal Injuries Unit at the Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH). After travel overseas, Melinda returned to Brisbane at the Mater Health Services surgical wards where her interest in urology piqued. In 2009, she commenced her Master of Nurse Practitioner studies in chronic disease management to align with her specialist nursing role in urology and continence. Her experience at the Mater includes a collaborative working relationship with a multidisciplinary approach to continence across the children, adult, and mothers’ hospitals. After all of that hard work and energy, a sea change was required and she relocated to Townsville where she started Paradise Therapy and now manages the Townsville Continence Service.
