Melanie Barlow is currently working as a senior lecturer and academic lead at Australian Catholic University.
She is a healthcare leader and simulation specialist who has a passion for using experiential education to help improve the quality of care. With 18 years of experience in education and as a Registered Nurse she understands the importance of different health professionals learning with, from, and about each other.
Her particular interest is in healthcare communication and studying how we receive messages and the impact receivership has on clinical communication behavior.
She is a highly-motivated person who has led interprofessional teams to use simulation in innovative ways; to help strengthen and enhance individuals, teams, and whole health systems.
