Mel Walker BPharm, MRPharmS, PhD

Dr Mel Walker BPharm MRPharmS PhD joined Otsukas European executive team in 2012 to build a cutting edge patient access function and develop Otsukas capability to meet the needs of evolving healthcare systems in Europe. He now also leads one of Otsukas business units that is focussed on Innovation and Business Development and is a member of the global investment boards for both pharma and digital health business areas.

In this role, he is accountable for securing Otsuka Europes future medicine portfolio, building its digital health franchise, and driving continuous organisational evolution that ensures the company continues to deliver value to patients and health systems in the future healthcare environment, which he believes will change dramatically over the next 5 years Mel is passionate about the role that a highly ethical and patient focussed next generation healthcare company can play in providing better patient care.
