Dr.Mehmet Zileli is the Professor of Neurosurgery. He was the Chief of the Neurosurgery Department in Ege University, Izmir, Turkey but left the university in July 2011.
He has worked as a research fellow in Erlangen, Germany with Johannes Schramm (1987-1988). He served as the first President of the Spine Section of Turkish Neurosurgical Society (1995-1999), President of the Turkish Neurosurgical Society (2006-2008), President of the World Spinal Column Society (2011-2014), President of the Middle East Spine Society (2011-present),
