Mehmet Karakus PhD

Mehmet Karakus is an Associate Professor at the University of Health Sciences. Dr. Karakus received his PhD in the field of Parasitology at Ege University in Turkey. His research was focused on Leishmaniasis among Syrian refugees in Turkey and their genotyping. He will investigate paratransgenic control of trypanosome parasites in the tsetse vector.
