Mehmet Armangil is an Associate Professor in the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology, Department of Hand Surgery at the Ankara University. He was born in Ankara, in 1976. He received his secondary and higher education at TED Ankara College. In 1994 he was admitted to Ankara University Faculty of Medicine and graduated and became a medical doctor in 2000. In 2001 after achieving success in the TUS exam (examination for specialty in medicine), he continued with his education as an assistant at Ankara University, Faculty of Medicine, Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology.

Between 2006-2008 he did his obligatory government service as an orthopedic surgeon at Kazan State Hospital, Ankara. He received his microsurgery training at the University of Zurich, Switzerland in 2007. In 2008, he did his military service as medical lieutenant in the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology at Kütahya Military Hospital for one year.
