Mehmet Ali Ozcan MD

Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ali Ozcan is a faculty member at Dokuz Eylul University Oncology Institute, Department of Clinical Oncology. He also works at Dokuz Eylul University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine, Department of Hematology. Prof. Dr. Ozcan, who received his specialization in blood diseases in 2002, is particularly interested in anemia, bleeding disorders, lymphomas, acute and chronic leukemias, myelodysplastic syndrome, multiple myeloma diseases.

Prof. Dr. Ozcan, who has a special interest in stem cells, is also an expert in autologous and allogeneic bone marrow transplantation and cellular therapies. He is the elected chairman of the Turkish Society of Hematology Lymphoma Scientific Subcommittee. He is a founding member of the Cellular Therapy and Regenerative Medicine Association and is still the Secretary-General. He is the founding member and treasurer of the Geriatric Hematology Association. He is the president of the Lymphoma Platform Association, the first blood diseases patient association in Turkey, which he founded together with the patient, patient relatives, and supporters. Prof. Dr. Ozcan, who has many international and national publications, also undertakes duties as an invited speaker in many congresses, symposiums, and meetings.
