Meghan G. Lubner MD, FSAR, FACR

Dr. Meghan Lubner, MD, is a UW Health radiologist and a professor in the Department of Radiology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. She specializes in interpreting medical images of the abdomen that help doctors diagnose disorders.

Dr. Lubner interprets the full range of medical images, including CT scans, ultrasounds, fluoroscopy, magnetic resonance images (MRIs), nuclear magnetic resonance images (NMRs), and X-rays. She specializes in images of the abdomen, which includes looking at the liver, kidneys, spleen, gastrointestinal (GI) tract, intestines, bladder, and pelvis. She also performs image-guided biopsies (tissue removals) and other procedures for disease diagnosis.

Most of the work Dr. Lubner does is behind the scenes. She works closely with other UW Health doctors to help them better understand what’s going on with their patients so they can develop effective treatment plans.  When Dr. Lubner performs biopsies and other image-guided procedures, she takes time to explain the process, answer questions, and put patients at ease. Dr. Lubner also conducts clinical research focused on improving imaging findings and image-guided biopsies, as well as image-guided tumor treatments and CT scan technology.
