Meghan Ahern completed her Master's in Counseling Psychology from Boston College, she went on to pursue her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at Northeastern University. During this time she was able to work with a diverse population in a variety of settings, including those struggling with substance abuse, adolescents involved in the criminal justice system, and college students managing the transitions and stress of young adulthood. She has specialized training in treating complex anxiety disorders, such as OCD, phobias, panic disorder, hair pulling, and skin picking. It is incredibly rewarding to work with clients as they learn the skills to overcome their challenges. Currently, Dr. Ahern works full-time at the Edith Nourse Rogers Veterans Memorial Hospital (Bedford VA) with student Veterans who are transitioning from military to civilian life. The focus of much of her work is addressing anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use issues with Veterans so they can pursue their academic, career, and recovery goals with success.
