Dr. Megan Richie is a neurohospitalist, a specialist in caring for hospitalized patients with neurological disorders. Her expertise includes managing strokes, seizures, meningitis, Guillain-Barre syndrome, multiple sclerosis, and delirium, as well as less common neurological conditions, such as transverse myelitis (inflammation in a section of the spinal cord), status epilepticus (seizures lasting more than five minutes), infectious encephalitis and autoimmune encephalitis.

Dr. Richie earned her medical degree from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, where she also completed a residency in neurology. She completed a neurohospitalist fellowship at UCSF. She is deeply involved in medical education and serves as director of the neurology clerkship for medical students and director of the master clinician flexible residency program for neurology residents.
