Dr. May is board certified by the Board of Pharmacy Specialties in Oncology Pharmacy. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy from Samford University’s McWhorter School of Pharmacy in Birmingham, Alabama, and completed a Pharmacy Practice Residency at Shands Jacksonville Medical Center and a Hematology/Oncology Pharmacy Residency at the Medical University of South Carolina.
Dr. May is currently an Ambulatory Oncology Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at Baptist Health Lexington’s Cancer Center in Lexington, Kentucky. She primarily practices Hematology/Oncology in an outpatient setting. In addition to direct patient care, Dr. May plays an active role in the education of pharmacy students and residents. She is on multiple committees at Baptist Health Lexington, including Cancer Committee and the Institutional Review Board. In addition, she has authored review articles, presented research posters, and given presentations both regionally and nationally.
