Medhat Z. Askar MD, PhD, MSHPE, FRCPath, D(ABHI)

Medhat Askar, MD, Ph.D., is the Director of Allogenic Laboratories and a Staff Physician in the Transplant Center of the Digestive Diseases Institute. He is also an Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University.

He is board-certified by the American Board of Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics, the American Board of Medical Laboratory Immunology, and the American Board of Bioanalysis in Diagnostic Immunology. His clinical interests include immunology, immunogenetics and transplantation.
