Meagan W. Vermeulen MD, FAAFP

Dr. Meagan W. Vermeulen obtained her undergraduate degree from King’s College in Wilkes-Barre, PA before graduating from MCP-Hahnemann College of Medicine; she completed her residency training at Virtua Family Medicine.

Dr. Vermeulen was excited to bring over a decade of clinical experience to RowanSOM. Both her clinical and academic research interests include a focus on wellness: preventative medicine, the interplay of emotional well-being with physical health, and the importance of physician wellness in the battle to prevent burnout.

Dr. Vermeulen believes in the importance of role-modeling best practices to her patients and students; she has been chosen to mentor future leaders in Family Medicine through the AAFP Emerging Leaders Institute. She has spoken nationally and internationally on a variety of topics and is now excited to use her background in editing and writing to grow as an author in academic medicine.
