Mazhar Tokgozoglu MD

Dr. Tokgozoglu is a Professor of Orthopedics and Traumatology at the Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in Ankara, Turkey. After his graduation and residency at the Hacettepe University, he completed a Clinical Adult Reconstruction Fellowship at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. After two years of study, he returned to the Hacettepe University to pursue an academic career. His main areas of interest are primary and revision total joint arthroplasty surgery and management of infection and tumor reconstruction. He was the President of the European Hip Society between 2004 and 2006. He currently is on the executive board of the Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine, National Delegate of Turkey to EFORT, and a member of the EFORT Finance Committee. Dr. Tokgozoglu is on the Editorial Boards of the Hip International and Orthopedics Today Europe. In September 2017 he has become the Chairman of the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology.
