Dr. Mayur R. Moreker, a specialist in Uveitis, Eye Inflammations and a Neuro Ophthalmologist in Mumbai completed his basic medical education from Seth G. S. Medical College & K.E.M Hospital, Mumbai in 2000 with a distinction in Ophthalmology & his MS & DNB from L.T.M.M.C & L.T.M.G.H, Mumbai in 2004. He did his fellowships in Comprehensive Ophthalmology & Ocular Inflammation, Immunology & Uveitis at L. V. Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad. Apart from being a Consultant at Arogyavaram Eye Hospital, Sompeta; Dr. Mayur R. Morekar has worked as Faculty in Ocular Immunology & Uveitis & Comprehensive Ophthalmology at L. V. Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad. He has achieved a certification in basic & clinical sciences in Ophthalmology from International Council of Ophthalmology & Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons, Glasgow, UK.
Dr. Mayur R. Morekar has the All India Ophthalmological Society (AIOS) Award - Inflammation Section - 2011. His presentation on ‘Clinicomicrobiologic review of Polymicrobial Endophthalmitis’ won the Best Scientific Poster Award for the year 2008 at the Joint meeting & Scientific Programme of American Academy of Ophthalmology & European Society of Ophthalmology at Atlanta, USA November 2008. His scientific poster titled "Isolated Intraocular Histiocytosis - Masquerading Clinically As Uveitis" got a travel grant at the 15th Uveitis Society of India Meet in October 2015. He is a participant at the International Council of Ophthalmology Post Graduate Program Directors Course. A Fitness Enthusiast & a “gym freak”, he is passionate about Bodybuilding & is a Trained Swimmer & a Brown Belt in Karate.
