Maya Stawnychy MD, DiMM

Dr. Maya Stawnychy is a California-based Emergency Physician with a passion for both medicine and the great outdoors. She earned her medical degree from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School after completing her undergraduate studies at Northeastern University in Boston. Maya then went on to complete her residency at UC San Diego, where she also served as Chief Resident. She additionally stayed on at UC San Diego to complete her fellowship in Wilderness Medicine, and is now an associate physician at UCSD. Beyond her medical training, Maya finds joy in backpacking, surfing, backcountry skiing, and traveling abroad to explore diverse cultures.
