Maximilian Reichert PhD

Maximilian Reichert studied Medicine in Heidelberg and at the Technical University of Munich. Maximilian Reichert graduated with his thesis focusing on PI3K signaling and cell cycle progression in pancreatic cancer (PDAC) summa cum laude. During his postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, USA, he discovered novel mechanisms of transcriptional regulation of PDAC cell plasticity using 3D culture models. After his return to Germany, he transferred his knowledge of advanced 3D culture systems successfully to cancer patients generating cancer patient-derived organoid repositories at TUM.
