Maurice Utap

Dr Maurice Steve Utap is currently the head of the clinic and family Medicine Specialist in Klinik Kesihatan Tudan, Miri Sarawak since 2012. He obtained his Bachelor of Medicine & Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Malaya in 2001. Subsequently, he obtained his Master in Family Medicine (MMED Family Medicine) from the University of Malaya in 2011. He obtained the Postgraduate Certificate in Primary Dermatology (AFPM) in 2017. He obtained the Fellowship in Addiction Medicine from the University Malaya Centre For Addiction Science (UMCAS) in 2020. He has experience working in various hospitals such as Hospital Sibu, Hospital Sarikei, University Malaya Medical Centre and various health clinics such as Klinik Kesihatan Kelana Jaya, Klinik Kesihatan Jalan Oya, Sibu and Klinik Kesihatan Tudan, Miri. He is currently the Clinical Mentor for Advance Training in Family Medicine (ATFM), the Academy of Family Physician Malaysia and Clinical Supervisor for the House Officer of Miri General Hospital. He has also been involved in active case detection, managing leprosy cases and providing training on leprosy surveillance in Miri, Sarawak, Malaysia since 2013 till now, setting up the One Stop Centre for Addiction (OSCA) clinic and Virtual clinic in Klinik Kesihatan Tudan since 2019.
