Maurice Dematteis MD, PhD

A neurologist by training, Professor of Addictology and Pharmacology, and founder and head of the University Department of Pharmaco-Addictology at CHU Grenoble Alpes, Maurice Dematteis contributed to developing and structuring the teaching of Addictology in his Faculty and its inter-region.

He participated in various national working groups (alcohol, opioid analgesics, opioid substitution, new synthetic products/new psychoactive substances), in the drafting of recommendations in alcohol and opioid use disorders, and in various multicenter studies. Through his training, he is particularly interested in drug addictions, their characterization, and their management.

Finally, he developed the ETAPE program, an innovative program inspired by therapeutic education for those around consumers.
