Dr. Maureen O’Shaughnessy, MD, specializes in the treatment of conditions affecting the hand, wrist, elbow, and upper limb. She completed her residency in orthopedic surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., before completing additional training as a hand and upper limb fellow at Stanford University in California.

O’Shaughnessy evaluates and treats both children and adults. She excels in treating patients whose problems are complex or unusual. Treatment areas include traumatic disorders, arthritis, repetitive stress injury, entrapment neuropathy, sports-related injuries, performing-arts-related injuries, reconstructive procedures after spinal cord or brachial plexus injury, congenital hand differences, and tumors involving the upper limb. O’Shaughnessy also has expertise in minimally invasive arthroscopy of the wrist and small joints as well as endoscopic carpal tunnel release.
