Dr. Maura Marcucci is an Assistant Professor in the Departments of Health Research Methods, Evidence, and Impact (HEI), and Medicine, at McMaster University. She is also an attending physician in the Division of General Internal Medicine and Division of Perioperative Care. Previously, she was an Assistant Professor at the University of Milan, where she was involved in national and international collaborations on aging-related topics, such as frailty. Leveraging on her background in vascular medicine, thrombosis and hemostasis disorders, and geriatrics, the main focus of her clinical research is on cardiovascular and neurocognitive outcomes after surgery, including delirium and cognitive decline.
