Maude Guevara

Maude Guevara is currently the Director of Quality and Clinical Informatics at CityMD, the largest provider of urgent care services in the New York City Metro area. CityMD operates over 110 clinics in three states, and sees over 2.4M patients annually.

Maude joined CityMD as a medical scribe in 2013, and joined the clinical operations team in 2014. Her focus was leveraging technology to design efficient, reliable workflows for clinical staff, including processes at clinical sites, and those used by the navigation team to help coordinate care post-visit. Maude helped to create, maintain, and improve systems to guide each patient back to their medical home, or to help them find one when necessary.

In 2018, Maude led CityMD’s effort to validate its high quality of care when CityMD achieved the NCQA Patient-Centered Connected Care Recognition (PCCC) for all of its eligible clinics. CityMD first attained this recognition in 2016 with three sites in New York state. Maude then led the expansion of the recognition to 73 sites in 2018 and renewal of 107 sites in 2019.

Currently, Maude plays a key role in CityMD’s successful participation in various quality programs such as QPP/MIPS, HEDIS, and value-based contracts with various payers. In addition, she has created or redesigned the Quality Assurance tools and processes CityMD utilizes for medical scribes.
