Matthew R. Allen PhD

Matt is an Assistant Dean for Faculty Affairs Professional Development Diversity and holds an academic appointment in Anatomy and Cell Biology as a Professor. He also has adjunct appointments in the Departments of Orthopaedic Surgery and Medicine-Nephrology in IUSM and the Department of Biomedical Engineering at IUPUI. He has an appointment as a non-clinical scientist at the Roudebush VA Medical Center. Dr. Allen earned her bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Alma College (MI) and his doctoral degree in kinesiology from Texas A&M University. Matt’s focus in FAPDD is on enhancing the experience of research faculty throughout IUSM. He has a particular interest in enhancing support for Associate Professors in order to help them thrive during this stage of their careers. He enjoys working with faculty at all levels to help them achieve their personal goals.
