Matthew Leroy Silvis MD

Matthew Silvis, M.D., graduated from the Pennsylvania State College of Medicine. He then completed a Family Medicine Residency at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. After residency, Dr. Silvis practiced wilderness medicine in rural Wyoming, then completed a fellowship in Primary Care Sports Medicine at Wake Forest University. At Penn State Hershey, Dr. Silvis is currently the Medical Director of Primary Care Sports Medicine. He also serves as team physician for the Hershey Bears Hockey Club, Lebanon Valley College, and Hershey High School. Dr. Silvis has special interests in the care of endurance athletes, exercise, and concussion.
