Matthew Lauber, Ph.D., is a senior scientific leader and biopharmaceutical innovator at Waters Corporation, where he currently serves as Senior Director of Bioseparations. With more than a decade of leadership experience in analytical chemistry, bioprocessing, and cell and gene therapy technologies, he has played a key role in advancing next-generation analytical solutions for the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries.

Dr. Lauber joined Waters Corporation in 2012 as a Senior Scientist and has progressed through multiple scientific and leadership positions, including Principal Scientist, Senior Principal Scientist, Senior Principal Consulting Scientist, and Senior Director of Cell/Gene Therapy Chemistry. His work has focused on developing advanced chromatographic and mass spectrometry-based technologies to support biotherapeutic characterization, biomolecular separations, and emerging modalities in cell and gene therapy.

He earned his Ph.D. in Biological Chemistry from Indiana University Bloomington, where his doctoral research explored the integration of crosslinking, separations science, and mass spectrometry to study protein structures and molecular interactions. This interdisciplinary foundation has informed his career-long commitment to analytical innovation and translational scientific applications.
