Mats Eriksson RN, PhD

Mats Eriksson is a Professor in Nursing Science and a Specialist Nurse in intensive care.. His research area concerns infants, children and adolescents with special focus on pain and stress in newborn infants. He is the leader of the research group PEARL – Pain in Early Life, both at Orebro University and the international PEARL-group (www.pearl.direct).

Mats is one of the principal investigators of the EU FP7-supported EUROPAIN -project studying pain management for critically ill newborns in 20 European countries. Mats is also member of the steering committee of the SANNI-project, working for safe analgesia in neonatal intensive care.
