Mats Borjesson MD

Dr. Mats Borjesson is a Professor and the Head of the Center for Health and Performance (CHP) at the Institute of Neuroscience and Physiology at the University of Gothenburg and the Sahlgrenska University Hospital/Ostra, Goteborg, Sweden. Besides being a member of Exercise is Medicine (EIM) Europe, steering board since 2014, Mats Borjesson was chairman of various national and international societies: the section of Sports Cardiology, European Society Cardiology from 2008-10, the Swedish Society of Sports Medicine from 2013-15, the Swedish Society of Cardiology from 2016-18, the “Task Force of Physical Activity” and the WHO-network Health Promoting Hospitals from 2013-16.
