Matsikachando Moyo PhD

Mat is an experienced nurse, infection prevention and control practitioner, clinical educator, and researcher. He currently leads on some level 4 and level 6 modules within the BSc (Hons) Adult Nursing programme. These include the 'Introduction to Physiology, Assessment and Care Planning' and 'Quality Improvement, Research and Audit' modules. Mat holds a PhD in Health Sciences from the University of Southampton. His research interests are in infection prevention and control, patient safety and clinical human factors.

Mat is also Deputy Education Officer within the Wessex Branch of the Infection Prevention Society. The Infection Prevention Society is an independent charity that strives to inform, promote and sustain evidence-based infection prevention policy and practice at a local, national and international level.
