Masahiko Yamamoto

Masahiko Yamamoto is an office manager of the Asahi Shimbun Social Welfare Organization Osaka office. Masahiko has been trying to build and spread the spirit of the Dementia Friendly Community in Japan since he joined the organization. He planned international conferences about Dementia Friendly Community to introduce the latest attempts going on all over the world. Recently, his aim is that his newspaper company, Asahi Shimbun making dementia-friendly. Masahiko used to be a photojournalist and was awarded the most honorable Japan Newspaper and Publishers & Editors Association award in 2005 on photo reporting of over 500 passengers who died in the Japan Railway train crash.
