Dr. Masaaki Hori is an associate professor in the Department of Radiology at Juntendo University School of Medicine, Tokyo, Japan. His research topic is the clinical application of quantitative MRI imaging, especially diffusion MRI for brain and spinal cord disorders. He completed his MD and Ph.D. degrees at the University of Yamanashi, Japan. For his contribution, Dr. Hori has been awarded the best educational poster at the Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Neuroradiology (JSNR) in 2014. Dr. Hori is a member of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ISMRM), European Congress of Radiology (ECR), Japanese Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (JSMRM), and Japanese Society of Neuroradiology (JSNR). In 2015 and 2016, Dr. Hori is a moderator of the scientific sessions in the ISMRM annual meetings. The current research topic is quantitative MR mapping for brain and spinal cord disorders, investigating the clinical impact and usefulness of the technique.
