Mary-Frances Garber, is a board certified, licensed genetic counselor, with a private practice, Listening, Reflecting, Healing, where she provides supportive genetic counseling and bereavement services. Her belief is that individuals and families need a place to process their emotions associated with their genetic issues. In addition to this, Ms. Garber works as a prenatal genetic counselor in the Maternal Fetal Medicine department at Newton Wellesley Hospital. She was the Executive Director for NERGG,
The New England Regional Genetics Group for eleven years. Earlier in her career, she worked at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in the Antenatal Diagnostic Center. Mary-Frances attended the University of Rochester, graduating with a BS in Molecular Genetics, and Sarah Lawrence College where she earned a MS in Human Genetics. Mary-Frances is a member of the National Society of Genetic Counselors and has served as Region I Representative on the Board of Directors
