Mary E. Freivogel, is the immediate past president of the National Society of Genetic Counselors’ Board of Directors. As NSGC’s cancer expert, Mary can talk about hereditary cancer syndromes and how patients with higher risk of hereditary cancers can understand genetic testing results, navigate treatment options and talk with their family members about their potential risk. Mary also has an interest and expertise in efficient risk assessment and effective sharing of important information among genetic counselors, patients and physicians.
