Mary Beth Browning PhD

Mary Beth Browning, a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, is a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow. She is creating a synthetic, small-diameter vascular graft for bypass and peripheral arterial replacement surgeries.

She is the first author of three published papers, contributed to several more and cowritten a book chapter in the Handbook of Biomedical Technology. She’s active in STEM outreach and served as vice president of the Society for Biomaterials student chapter.
