Mary Assunta

Mary is a Luther Terry Awardee (2003) for outstanding leadership in tobacco control, representing low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) in many platforms to counter and debunk tobacco industry tactics. She has more than 20 years of experience in international tobacco control advocacy. She is the principal author of the tobacco industry interference index. She has a doctorate in public health from the University of Sydney – School of Public Health, in which she serves as an adjunct senior lecturer.
