Dr. Wilmarth is the CEO of Back2Back Physical Therapy. She is the former Chief of Physical Therapy at Harvard University. Previously, she was the Director of the DPT Program from 2005-2010 and Assistant Dean for the College of Professional Studies with Northeastern University. Dr. Wilmarth first started as a member of the faculty with the Bouve College of Health Sciences at Northeastern University in 1996. She did this for many years before becoming more involved with the Orthopaedic Section of the American Physical Therapy Association as the Editor for their Independent Study Courses, which she did from 2001-2007.

Dr. Wilmarth is a Board Certified Specialist in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy. In addition, she has her certification in Manual Therapy from the University of St. Augustine and in Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment from the McKenzie Institute. Dr. Wilmarth is also certified in Dry Needling and Ergonomics. She received her Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Duke University and her Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. In addition, she completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology and art from Middlebury College.

Dr. Wilmarth has three children in college and graduate school and working and lives with her husband, Roger, and three dogs, She has always been active with many sports including skiing, tennis, windsurfing, swimming, rollerblading and more; and with her children the focus was on tennis, soccer, hockey, squash, swimming and crew. Dr. Wilmarth has been a tennis coach and continues to be very involved with the USTA and following professional tennis. Dr. Wilmarth is also a member and supporter of CCFA and the Arthritis Foundation.
