Cammy has presented numerous CCRN Reviews as well as critical care updates with an emphasis on the critical-thinking skills of the bedside practitioner. She is known for her in-depth knowledge of managing patients with complicated cardiovascular diseases. In addition to her busy lecturing schedule, Cammy is a content reviewer for several refereed nursing journals and has numerous publications in the area of critical care. As a critical care nurse practitioner, Cammy brings extensive knowledge and clinical practice skills to her lectures as well as providing bedside clinical pearls, allowing the learner to take bedside care to the next level.

She received her BSN and MSN with an advanced practice certification in adult health from Shands Teaching Hospital at the University of Florida. In 2000, Cammy completed a post-graduate course for her certification as an acute care nurse practitioner. She maintains her clinical skills through an active practice as an ACNP at the University of Florida, Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery
