Dr. Delgado Guay is original from Guatemala in Central America. He completed his Medical School at Universidad Francisco Marroquin in Guatemala City. Dr. Delgado Guay completed his Internal Medicine training at Michael Reese Hospital, Chicago IL. He completed a Geriatrics Medicine fellowship at Harvard Medical School, Boston MA. He completed a clinical and research fellowship in Symptom Control and Palliative Care at The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Houston TX.

Currently, Dr. Delgado Guay coordinates Palliative Care services and participates in the Geriatrics Services at The University of Texas Medical School, Lyndon B. Johnson General Hospital. His main interests are education processes in palliative care and his research interests include Symptom distress in advanced cancer patients including physical, psychosocial and spiritual distress. Other interest includes management of older patients with cancer.
