Martyn Knowles MD, RPVI, MBA, FACS

Dr. Knowles is a Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon at the University of North Carolina Rex Hospital. He is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of North Carolina. Dr. Knowles graduated from the University of North Carolina Wilmington with a B.S. in Biology. He attended Wake Forest University Medical School and went on to attend surgical residency and vascular fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern / Parkland Hospital in Dallas.

Dr. Knowles stayed on as faculty at the medical school in Dallas until returning to North Carolina. He is the Medical Director of the Aortic Program at UNC Rex, with an interest in fenestrated and branched endovascular devices. He is part of a busy vascular surgery group with an active clinical and research practice focusing on peripheral arterial, venous, ESRD, and aortic procedures.
