Martin Schreiber Jr. M.D. is the Chief Medical Officer for Home Modalities, Pediatrics, and In-center Nocturnal Hemodialysis at DaVita Kidney Care. He is in charge of quality metrics, safety, medical-related issues, physician engagement, innovations, and Care Delivery models for Home hemodialysis, Peritoneal Dialysis, Pediatrics, and In-Center Nocturnal Hemodialysis.

He joined DaVita Kidney Care in 6/2014 having spent his career at Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland Ohio where he was chairmen of the Department of Nephrology and Hypertension, Vice Chairman of the Glickman Urologic, and Kidney Institute, and a member of the Cleveland Clinic Board of Governors. He completed his nephrology training at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston Massachusetts. He has been involved in a number of clinical research projects which have included: Chronic Renal Insufficiency Cohort Study (CRIC-NIH) and Systolic Blood pressure Intervention Trial (SPRINT-NIH). He has been selected as a Top Doctor in Ohio by Cleveland Magazine 2002-2017, Man of the Year 2007 by the Kidney Foundation of Ohio, and received the Pope Shenouda all Award for Wisdom and Compassion in Cairo, March 2013. He has been a passionate champion for Home dialysis throughout his career and a national and international lecturer and author on the topic of home as the site for managing ESRD.
