Martin P. Van Hagen MD, PhD

PM van Hagen is an internist-immunologist at the Department of Medicine, section of Clinical Immunology at the Erasmus MC in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. He began his training in “Internal Medicine” in 1988 at the Erasmus MC Rotterdam and was registered in 1993. In 1999 registrated as Immunologist. In 2000 he was appointed head of section “Clinical Immunology”of the dept. Internal Medicine. Erasmus MC Rotterdam. In 2005 dr. van Hagen became staff also member of the Eye Hospital Rotterdam. Special areas of research are immuno-endocrinology, immuno deficiency diseases, and clinical and basic aspects of autoimmune eye diseases. He has published many original papers on these subjects. He is closely involved in the development of new somatostatin-like peptides for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.
