Dr. Martin Gelbke specializes in Orthopedic Adult Reconstruction involving both hip and knee procedures, as well as Adult and Pediatric Trauma surgery, and he is dual fellowship trained in Orthopaedic Traumatology as well as Adult Reconstruction. Total Hip Replacement, Total Knee Replacement, Partial Knee Replacement, Total Hip Revision, and Total Knee Revision comprise the focus of his clinical patient care, while his surgical expertise is utilized with trauma patients in the hospital setting. He is a member of the Orthopaedic Trauma Association, the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and is the President of Bridger Orthopedics.
Dr. Gelbke was the first provider to bring robotic-assisted procedures in joint replacement to Montana and performs both inpatient and outpatient procedures through traditional and robotic-assisted options. He holds surgical privileges at Bozeman Health, Livingston Healthcare, and Rocky Mountain Surgical Center. Dr. Gelbke and his team follow patients through diagnosis, non-surgical treatment options, and provide operative solutions only when it makes sense. He is very active and loves to ski, golf, play tennis, and fish, all of which give him insight into the importance of his role as a provider. He believes in establishing solid, genuine relationships with his patients and provides an open environment that fosters communication to help ensure they can continue to be active in their own lives.
