Martin Gehrchen MD, PhD

Martin Gehrchen is head of the Spine Unit at Rigshospitalet focusing on complex spine surgery. Besides extensive clinical experience, he has a significant ongoing research activity. He holds a PhD and has numerous scientific publications. He most recently was co-editor of a textbook on sagittal balance and has been the recipient of the IMAST Whitecloud award and outstanding paper award in the Spine Journal in 2015.

Martin Gehrchen is an active SRS and EuroSpine member and was the local host of EuroSpine in 2016. He has been president of the Danish Society of Spine Surgery and is currently president of IGASS.
