Dr. Martin Chin is a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, whose subspecialty is in the pediatric reconstruction of complex craniofacial birth defects. Over decades, he has created various surgical instruments and techniques to treat such disorders, which offers new results and degrees of safety. One of his current projects consists of promoting the development of clinical applications for new tissue engineering agents to replace conventional facial bone surgery. In 2016, the International Journal of Periodontics and Restorative Dentistry published Dr. Chin's article on the aforementioned, entitled Establishing and Maintaining Osseointegration Within the Functional Matrix. The same year, Quintessence published his book, Surgical Design for Dental Reconstruction with Implants: A New Paradigm, and he is in the process of lecturing on this topic internationally.
